CFC-FFL 33rd Anniversary

Empowered... Fearless...

The Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life (CFC-FFL) celebrated its 33rd Anniversary last Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Ynares Sportscenter, Antipolo City.

Choose to be brave... called to be saints. Sent forth as heroes!

2 Timothy 1:7-8

For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control. So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for his sake; but bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God,

Eucharistic Celebration led by Most Rev. Gabriel V. Reyes D.D.
Bishop of Antipolo and Rev. Fr. Francis Gustilo, SDB.

FAITH ON FIRE

The Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life (CFCFFL) celebrated its 32nd Anniversary last Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Ynares Sportscenter, Antipolo City.

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12).

This year's celebration is all about FAITH .... FAITH ON FIRE!

"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move, and it will move.  Nothing is impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20).  This is the faith story of Jose dela Cruz, a man who despite his inadequacies served God completely.  He allowed God to fill him so he can be complete.

"Has not God chosen the poor in the world, to be rich in faith and to be heirs in His kingdom" (James 2:5).  This is the faith story of Tropicales family, an ordinary family who believes in an extraordinary God.  Nothing can stop a family who prays together and stays together in serving a God Who provides.

"For we walk by faith and not by sight" (2Corinthian 5:7).  This is the faith story of Ofie Certeza, who lost her sight because of diabetes.  Her sufferings is incomparable to that which Christ had to go through.  This belief sustains her to continue serving the Lord, and be the salt of the earth.  As she said, the greatest proclamation of one's faith is putting it into action.

"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15).  This is the faith story of Joel Besa, who served the Lord until his dying breath, and continues to serve Him on his second life.  Prayer heals.

"Now faith is being sure of things we hope for, and certain of things unseen". (Hebrews 11:1).  This is the faith story of Charlie Carpio, who chose to live a life that always chooses God, to be firm and to do what is right.  This despite the kind of environment he lives in.

Truly a celebration of 32 years of Faith, Family and Life...

The Lighting of Candles ceremony signifies the state of faith we should be in.  With Faith, just like a candle that is starting to lit up, we cover it against anything that may lit it off, and then we make the flame grow big by letting the fire melt up the wax.  Sometimes the melting wax scorch us and it can be painful, but we hold on to it more firmly.  When the flame grows big, we share it with others, so they too can experience the light it gives out.  That is how faith is set on fire .....
